General MG Leaking Fuel on twin HS4's 1500 MG Midget

Hi, hope someone can help me here.

I have a 1979 MG Midget 1500cc
Recently had my twin SU HS4's overhauled and since then I find I'm leaking fuel from the overflow point on the front float bowl.
I replaced the float bowl top complete with float and needle valve. Still I get fuel spilling out.
I shimmed up the needle holder by 1/8" in the hope that would help, nope still leaking fuel.
Float bowl was cleaned and I ensured there was no dirt. I fitted a nice new fuel filter in the line, still I get leaking fuel.
Only clue I have is that I fitted a new alu rocker cover with a screw in the cap, is this correct?

What else can I do ??

Thanks

IIRC, you can bend the hinge. I would also check the needle valve to be sure it is seating when the float is up. On second thought, I would do that first. You can try switching the bowl covers (front to rear) and see if the leak follows.
