I went to two local "cruise-in" car shows this weekend, both within a short drive of my home. A cruise-in show is just that, just drive in and park your car. You can register for a small fee/donation, or not. I chose not to register because I was leaving soon for another show.
So, I cruised in my '74 MG Midget and parked between a '69 Pontiac GTO (nicely restored) and a shiny 1967 Camaro. Mine was the only foreign car in the show, which featured about 35 cars, mostly '60s muscle cars with a few hot rods, etc. Most were very nice, some exceptional.
Well, after about 30 minutes the event organizer approached me to ask if I was going to register my car! He said that several people wanted to vote for the MG, but it had no registration number so they couldn't vote!
Holy cow, go figure: the muscle car crowd loves MGs! Who woulda thunk it?
LOL!
