Last engine shipping question - laying down OK

Thanks for the Forward Air referral - that's who I'll be using.

One last question - some of the suggestions I received included the idea of shipping the engine with it laying down on it's side. I can see how that minimize the change of the darn thing tipping over in route, but is there any more chance of any internal damage shipping it that way?

Fluids have already been drained, so that won't be an issue.

No more potential for issues, in fact probably less, than standing up.
 
Have you looked into UShip? I have seen some pretty reasonable prices there. I just shipped an interior from a BMW from IL to FL for $150. What I like is finding one guy with a trailer who picks up and delivers instead of possibly transferring.
