Wow, didn't sell and barely broke $40K. Maybe worth more if it was left a stock BN2?
$40K is about it for a non-M 4 cylinder Healey on ebay unless it's a pristine pretty fresh restoration, then it <span style="font-style: italic">might</span> go up to the mid 50's.

IMO, this is the appropriate way to advertise a LeMans modified 100:

Agree 100%. Very thorough ad with a lot of good pictures now that they added pictures of the underside.

Finally, someone got it spot on. I wish I had room for it......and an extra 65K
Would you really give $65K for this car? Normally I don't shoot holes in other guys cars because I truly believe each should make his (or her) car the way they want it, but this is a dealer trying to get close to top dollar so I will make an exception
- first, what's with all these BN2s that have four BN1 fenders on them? I know someone will give the "some early BN2s had BN1 fenders" lecture but c'mon. This is the second one I've looked at for sale in the last month that's been this way. The other one was a higher end car also (trying to get close to $60K for it).
- second, door fit and particularly the swage line in back. Looks like they already got shims under the lower door hinges, so there's probably not much more one can do at this point. I realize a lot of cars are like this and it's common, but again on a top dollar machine?
- third, those could be the worst seat backs I've ever seen. If you're going to use contrasting piping you really should have a pro do it. This car would make a good ad for the guy at Heritage in the "not this" section.
- and on...no body tag and bogus VIN tag?? 140mph speedo re-screen looks awful (wrong font, eh?). Farm and Fleet Widetrack radials on a $65,000 car? Also, red with chrome wires and loaded up badge bar is waay overdone on Healeys, IMO. Could go on but I would assume hardly anyone reading this is still awake.
The performance stuff is okay like the DW head and rockers and other obvious engine mods but there is so much other going on like the disk brakes, tube shock conversion, anti-roll bars that I think it's too much. <span style="font-weight: bold">This is just my opinion</span> but I think a few performance and modern drivability mods are good, but once that list starts getting really long (like on this car) it's actually starts hurting the value. I think a guy would be better off with Tanner's car for similar money.
