King Pin kit

I am just repairing the front wheel suspension and ordered a complete King pin kit.

To fit the king pin, the bottom-stub axle bushing had to be reamed down so far, that the oil grooves are no longer available. Is that normal in today's reproductions?
How can I guarantee the lubrication of the king pin in this case?

The top-stub axle bushing seems ok after necessary reaming.

Maybe I do not Know but that is unacceptable. I do know that some of the restoration people match machine the King pins prior to fitting the bushes.

Maybe what you can do is use the original stub axle and have new bushings fit to it.

Here's what I would do. Others may have a better solution. I would take my Dremel tool, and using a bit with a small round burr, make some new grooves into the bushing that replicate the original grooves.

there are probably bushings of different manufacturer on the market which have different tolerances . The King pin set with the bad bushings where ordered from Britain. I have pressed out this bushes and replaced them by bushes from a German supplier, which were perfect in tolerances.
