I'm sure you have good reasons for changing the gearbox (everyone justifies what they do to their cars, me included /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif ) but personally, I would miss the experience of using the OD. I think it's one of the coolest things about driving the car.

BTW, I don't agree at all with some of the comments on this thread about 'stock needing to be trailered'. Even the concours committee strongly encourages the cars being judged to be driven to the events with allowances for safety related items such as more modern tires.

Cheers,
John

Yes, EVEN the Concours Committee, that secretive cabal of anal fussbudgets /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/square.gif gives EXTRA CREDIT for driving cars that are to be inspected.

Zero Trailers (never had one)

Well John, you'd HAVE to say that about the OD given your avatar.

Reid: where do I find the concours criteria? Is it on the net or do I need to give a secret handshake somewhere? If the password at the door is "V8", you'd get very little traffic!

Check page 3 of the 2007 Austin-Healey Club of America Membership Directory, or check the webpage on the AHCA website:
Concours Information

No secret handshake required, but you'll need a check... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yesnod.gif
