The mighty Casey has hit a ground rule double. After a year and a half I finally got the engine in my spit6 project to run. Thanks to the help of another forum member (Bob_tr6) the spit6 engine roared to life yesterday. Had a couple of vacuum issues to work out and the float on the rear carb was not set right. Hopefully all is well this morning when we re-fire for adjustment.
Got some other electrical and body issues to work out. Small stuff. Getting excited to see what this puppy will do with the added power and torque.
I have used the gt6 trans and the 3.27 rear end. Updates to follow. Pics if I can figure out my camera and how to post them.

Been a long road, Dar - CONGRATS!

The Spit 6 is the car Triumph forgot to build. In my perfect world it would have been called the "Hurricane".
after the fighter that really did save the skies over Britain. They would have had the American market in mind
and come with OD trannys and set side by the Spitfires in the showrooms. They might have even platformed
the cars and given the better brakes and suspension to both lines. If only I could get this time machine to
work properly.......
