Jeremy Clarkson Suspended form Top Gear

Like I said in my comment to the BBC today:
If you do put new folks in charge, if it's anything like the US version of Top Gear, the BBC channel on my cable will be blocked.
Last time they did this I was away for a long time...when they sacked Tom Baker.

Hammond and May have already said they won't continue without Clarkson. Of course, that could change. I expect the BBC will try to continue the show. Looking at the slight success of the spinoffs, I don't think it will generate much interest without those guys though. I think I will be able to save a few bucks and drop the package from my cable that includes BBC America.

I think if Clarkson tells Hammond & May to continue the show, they will...and the BBC will likely make both of them very, very wealthy if they do. OTOH, Clarkson may take Ruppert Murdoch up on his offer for his own show and bring Hammond & May with him. I could picture Clarkson doing a show on his own without May & Hammond, which would free them to return to Top Gear.

If nothing else, it will be interesting to see how all this eventually plays out.

:iagree: I think that even though Hammond and May have stated they won't return without Clarkson, there is still a decent chance of either the BBC hiring the pair of them to continue on, or they may wind up with Clarkson at Sky. I see a lot of possibilities coming out of this. I just don't know if any of the results will have the same magic Top Gear did.

How come there has been no mention of Pumbaa during all of this?? :jester:

Nah it's a chemistry thing show will fail with the loss of any one of the three
there a human tripod .
think Seinfeld

May says he won't do it.

I had heard that Clarkson was still doing the live shows this summer and was wondering how they'd work that out.
Jay, I agree that has always been one of my favorite segments too.
