Hi Everyone- I am Jack Farrington's youngest daughter and I live in Atlanta. Much to Dad's dismay, I don't own a single British car but hope to someday! The reason I write here is to say thank you to all of you for your kind and comforting words about my dad. After Googgling I came up with this website and just have loved seeing the tremendous support that he had in this "car world," which has always been a huge priority for him. Yes, he loved cars! As a kid we never knew what he was going to drive home with. I can't tell you the countless times we had to make a stop off the side of the road to allow him (sigh) to scour through a car junkyard for a prized part. My first car was a 1972 MGB that Dad helped me to buy. Unfortunately I needed something more reliable and sold it to buy a...ugh...new Honda Civic! Dad about fainted as he has never owned a new car in his entire life! When he was a young boy he wrote an essay called "How a Girl is Like a Car" which we still have. It goes on to say that you should always go for the "older models" because the younger models will drain your pocketbook. Not sure there's truth to that but it was a very funny essay!
I've taken up enough space on your site but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you all. I miss my Dad so much and am sure you all do as well. Thanks for listening.
