It's Happeing, It's happening to Bugsy IV

Excellent news. Closer and closer to some fine Bugeye driving for you.

Additional Update: 4:30 PM

Cannot connect muffler w/o an adapter/extension. Timing andcarbs are much closer now. RPMs pick right up - no hesitation. Adjustedthe clutch - there is normal resistance now. I "drove" on thejackstands - all gears go in the right direction - no ugly noises. Alternator seems to be charging - the light hanging under the dash goes out.I'll work on getting that exhaust hooked up. Weather permitting, tomorrowI'll take it down and put it on the street. -

There is a Midas 2 Blocks from Tim's House. Will try and see tomorrow morning if they will connect pipe to the LCB Header and hook my Harley Muffler back up. If not them there is a true Muffler Only Shop located close by. Now to find time to go and drive Bugsy.House going on the market needs to take priority. Got to finish getting it pretty for photos..

My garage is now bare naked, fresh white paint on the walls, same in the 8 x 20 back workshop. Nothing in there period. Floor is now painted grey, garage gets painted tomorrow morning. I opted painting of floor to occur over 2 days so I didn't need to set two full 5' toolboxes out in the rain. Will roll toolboxes bak into the shop area in the AM, painters coming at 8:00 It looks fabulous with 20 years of accumulated junk gone. A fresh start for someone, and no after 3 months of work, basement is the last thing to pack up and box up pictures, stereo, TV down there and get it into storage locker. Picture time and into the MLS on Monday..

Thanks guys, been a long time coming. Wish I could have gotten the build finished myself but selling a house isn't really possible with an inoperable LBC up on jackstands in my tiny garage. Between house rehab over past 3-4 months and working full time, there was not room for a 3rd job finishing Bugsy in there. I put the plan together and my checkbook finished the final execution. Sometimes the best tool in your toolbox is either Checkbook or Credit Card.

But unfortunately there are some nuts so tight that my credit card doesn't provide enough leverage.

On to the next chapter of life. House sold today, 11 showings since yesterday @ 1:00 and 3 offers and a good price above list. A very good thing. Off to Tampa tomorrow very early to first hit the beach and relax and then house hunt. Back next Tuesday so I can pick up Bugsy for some VROOM, VROOM before we Close on 7/20. Bugsy is scheduled to get a muffler installed later this week when my buddy Tim gets back from vacation. I have not had the opportunity to hear Bugsy speak, I'm told he's very loud with an LCB Header only. An initial trip to a muffler shop by my buddy was described as extreme fun but annoying due to Bugsy's very loud voice. Shifts nice, revs well, good oil pressure, and noleaks so far. all good signs. I was good, stayed on task in getting this house ready to sell and didn't let a cute Bugeye distract me from a long term goal of no more Ohio Winters..House sale is done and I'll bask in that glow for a few days, and then start worrying about moving and getting Bugsy to FL.

A Big Sigh of relief.

Good job, Jim! Looks neat and clean! Mine will soon to be complete as well, tho not as pretty.
Good luck on the new house hunt!
