Ok, I will bite.
I say no. The angle looks too severe to mount as it should on the rear frame....from the photos anyway.

Here is a pick of the rear bar I have installed on mine for comparison purposes...
To me,it looks more like a front sway bar for a TR3.....

I don't recall ever having seen one with 2 mounting points on each end.

I've never seen one like that on a Triumph, but some GM cars do it that way. Both points fasten solidly to the A-arm; so the bar has to deflect even if the A-arms move together. Thus the bar is adding overall spring rate as well as roll stiffness.bgbassplyr said:
Just a WAG, but I'd guess they do it that way for simplicity (low cost) and possibly also so the same main springs can be used for both standard and 'sport' suspensions. The stiffer bar for the sport option also increases the spring rate.
Hi guys - thanks for the ideas. When I was (finally) cleaning up the 1971 TR6 shell I found that next to a new front sway bar and some other bits from TRF. It may well be a stray part, but everything else was correct for the TR6 so I'm wondering if it was from some other vendor but intended for a TR?
