As an ex chief photographer for a few publications back in the 1980's....I can tell you we flipped a lot of images to have them display correctly on the page.

Nothing worse than a guy looking off the newspaper or magazine....very few people ever noticed. I might have slowed down on this one before approving...car people are a little particular

I've had it happen to me a few times as a photographer. If its for a publication that has an Art Director, I ask beforehand if they have a layout already designed. Then we can get it to "face" the right direction from the get go. If you know the shape and size they want, you can also minimize cropping. Most publications just pick and choose photos from a large selection. Re-size, flip and crop as needed.

hey randall, the "barrel monster" image may be reversed or flipped, thereby sharing the concerns of this posts original topic. ...though I don't know if I am any more artistically enlightened for viewing/reading about the barrel and was even hoping to somehow get that five minutes of my life back!

This one was built in Australia & the water swirls backwards in the toilets too~!

This happened to a photo I gave to a club newsletter. It was Bill Warner's TR6 in turn 9 at Summit Point. Turn 9 miraculously changed from a right-hander to a left-hander in the newsletter.
