The shift handle mount is at the front of the stock opening. I used the stock crossmember in the unit body. It did require a trim in the center of the body mount but from under the car it looks untouched. After I modify the handle with a couple of sharp bends the handle should come up in the boot and look stock.
I planned the install so I can box in what's left of the underside of the battery area for the heater channeling and move the heater core back against the firewall. The car must have heat here in MN.
