I think Pat has an agreed value policy - I do not think Hagerty would write a stated value.

Hard to compare rates in different geographic areas - especially when one of them is California. Different states have different mandates & different risk factors, other lines (e.g. liability limits) and of course individual drivers will vary (age, driving record).
 
You guys are too smart. I didn't know there was a difference. Yes, I have an agreed value policy.

I learn something new every day here....

I was happy with my rate. Funny, for CA, I still think it's reasonable.

This is true. I'm with Hagerty, and I pay an additional $125/year (above the actual premium of $270) just for guaranteed 125 mile flatbead towing, $100 roadside assistance and that covers all cars & trailers in the household for an unlimited number of times. Hagerty offers a number of different roadside plans, but this one best fits my needs.
 
I'm another one with American Collectors from the USAA connection. I have had one claim and they handled it well so no complaints on that front. I did have a bit of a problem with some of their use restrictions early on, but they have opened things up on that front.

Having said all that, I still keep in the back of my mind that I should investigate what Grundy and Hagerty have to offer but have been too lazy to do so.
