Inside the car Blind Spot Mirror - MacGyvers back!

Re: Inside the car Blind Spot Mirror

Roger,

You've been out-Macgyvered by Griot's $29.99 and it's easily removable: https://www.griotsgarage.com/product/car+accessories/interior+accessories/autobahn+mirror.do

Autobahn Mirror
Ja Ja, Der Autobahn Mirror
No more turning your head to scout the traffic! This mirror's convex surface completely eliminates the blind spot and increases your visual range five times, giving you an undistorted, panoramic view of the road. It's like having an eye on the side of your head! It mounts inconspicuously to any windshield. Two-piece adjustable arm provides viewing flexibility. 4 3/4" wide. Great on older cars with small rear view mirrors.

Re: Inside the car Blind Spot Mirror

Yo yo Rick,

Out MacGyvered my A**....LOL

My search came up with two models. The Pilot one I posted and this Autobahn. They are both in the car blind spot mirrors, designed to attach to the windscreen. I focused on the Pilot, for that seemed...wait...wait... more MacGyverable.

The Autobahn's stems didn't seem to let me modify it much. My goal was to not attach anything to the windscreen. Suction cupping it the vent window may have been an option, but if you use that window, then you're out the mirror. (By the way, that goes for the mirror that gets clamped on to the outside of the vent window too. Useless if you open the vent window. Photo below.)

But I certainly do appreciate you joining in on the fun.
Thanks for remembering my post.

Cheers,
Roger
