I'm looking to trade my Healey

If this is the wrong place for this posting, apologies. I cross-posted to the Jag page. Basil, please move it to the right one if you wish.

Greetings: I just can't justify two classic drop tops in the garage. So I'm seeking a new stable mate for my '68 OTS. I would like to find a very well restored E-type S1 FHC. I'm looking for a show/driver, maybe a recently retired concours car. It must not need any further restoration - the OTS is keeping me plenty busy in that department. Also, S1 FHC only, 2+2 need not apply.

My goal is to make a straight across the board trade for my fully restored '66 BJ8 Healey. I'm sure there are coupe owners out there aching to drive a top down classic or perhaps ready for a change. I've done a good bit of research and the values are very close, with the Healey worth perhaps a bit more - all things being equal of course (they rarely are). You can view the Healey at my webpage https://www.cooperguitars.com. I'll supply a full written description with pics to serious inquiries. Pass the word along, please.
Thanks!

Randy...this is a seasonal thing with you...seems to me you did this last year too...that time you were selling the Healey...yikes... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

No, not seasonal, although it probably seems that way. I just decided to keep it last year since the Jag was undergoing restoration much of the time. But now that I have two drop tops in the garage, and can only drive one at a time, I've decided that a more reasonable thing for me is to own a coupe (fall/winter) and a roadster (sunny days). If Healey built a coupe that would be an easy decision. I love my Healey and will keep it if I can't get what I want for it. But a straight trade for the right FHC coupe isn't out of the question.

Hi Randy,

What about getting a hardtop for your Healey? We know the heater is up to the task of being a winter car!

Cheers,
John
