Hello,
I live in South Carolina USA and last October I acquired a partial restoration project. It is a 1956 MGA roadster. I haven't officially started working on it but hope to in the next few weeks. As it happens I am also doing a 1970 Ford F100 truck which is keeping me busy. The MGA is a frame off and the bottom half appears to be completed. It also has an early 3 main MGB rebuilt motor installed. My first project will be to lift off the tub so that I can take a close look at the frame work. I've been told all the running gear is new. Without even looking at bottom end, I have inventoried about $25,000 in new parts to install including new doors and wings. Looking forward to getting to know you folks and looking around the forum.

Bruce - welcome to BCF. Sorry it took so long for you to get a welcome, but "these are interesting times".

Where'd you find your MGA? That's the car I'd been thinking of since around 2000, but never found a candidate I could handle.

Here's our MG area, when you're ready to post questions:

Keep us in the loop.

Hello Bruce

Welcome to the forum.

You will get plenty of tips and help for your MGA project in the MG section of the forum. The number of restoration projects that fail is amazing. I bought my TR3A as a failed project with boxes of parts.
Not much help for the F100 here I am afraid but you could check out the Pub section where almost anything comes up for discussion.
