I was checking contacts/wires in the engine compartment and noticed that one of the leads on the ignition coil has a wee bit of looseness to it. I can't see any way of tightening the post. The TR6 has been driving nicely and I need to know if I should be putting in for an immediate replacement. Appreciate your input - Chris

Is this a coil that has the spade (Lucar) connectors riveted in place (rather than screw posts)? I had such a coil and one of the rivets loosened (and caused intermittent ignition). I cleaned it up well and added a bit of solder to the connection. That took care of the problem though the coil has been demoted to 'on-board spare' status.
