so who here can mount a camera and recreate it?

I knew Steve would know which roads he was on. Reminded me of one of your videos only yours was better against that Porsche I think it were.

Well I'm moving somewhere. Gotta get away from this snow.

Well Vince, if I had his budget for cameras and editing then I'd have something.

One road he chose was Mulholland Drive, which is a very famous road where many of the 50's and 60's greats cut their teeth. Today it's far too residential to hold street races and such without killing people. Most of the areas he was in hold a lot of history from the mid 20th century Hollywood. Today, move 20 miles farther north and you find some "real" driving roads.

Leno shows good taste in his autos. The AMG 63 is also Formula 1's Safety Car.

Nice road, nice car - but not Paris in a Ferrari! No Arc de Triomphe or Champs de Elysees. Palm trees just are not the same Nice try but the original is still the best.

The video: https://vimeo.com/2840720
Supposedly is it was a Mercedes Benz sedan - automatic, with Ferrari V12 sounds dubbed.

For all the noise, the car does not seem to going all that much faster than the traffic. Low camera angle make the road appear to be moving fast, but he is not overpowering the traffic that badly. JMO, of course.

Thats correct. If I can find the link again, I'll post it. there was a shot of the MB sedan with the camera setup.

from Wikipedia
A making-of-the-rendezvous documentary indicates that Lelouch himself was the driver, that the car driven was the Mercedes, although the sound track is from a Ferrari

And here is the link to a youtube copy of the making of video.

Find me a large piece of farmland with a barn and a Handymans special and I'm moving to Cali.
