It brings the subliminal thought of "If I click here, I'll get spyware installed. Oh, God, not here TOO !!". :wall:

I'm sure that's not the case, but that's what it makes me think. I aint clickin' on it !!!!

Round here, we try to support Basils efforts to keep the forum up and running. If Basil gets some funding help from a banner or two then it is OK with me, and most likely the rest of us.

If it is a problem for you then there are browser add-ons that will block that for you. Please investigate them.

I see that you have not purchased any level of membership. You are welcome here without one, but there are cost involved with running this site. Basil needs our support, if we want this resource to continue. Like Mark said, it is OK with me. At least the ones here are related to LBCs.
 
I see a lot of regular posters on the site who haven't kicked in the minimum yearly measley amount to help support this forum. I have gotten my 25 bucks worth a thousand times over and I sure wouldn't want to see this site go away. It is both entertaining and informative.

I assumed he was talking about the banner at the top right of the header, which is sometimes Tony's ad. I do not see it flashing, but maybe I did to stop it. I very seldom click on any on line add, but I might on these because they sell something I want and I assume Basil has done some veting.

That <span style="font-style: italic">is</span> odd, if you're seeing them here...I know the type of cheezy flashing <span style="font-size: 17pt"><span style="font-family: 'Algerian'"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #CC33CC">you've won!!!</span></span></span></span></span> ads elsewhere, on other (less reputable) sites. The only ads I've ever seen on the BCF are those tasteful little banners in the top right. And I've found them really useful. I'm running an average Internet Explorer, and I'm not blocking anything that I know of.

And yeah, this is kinda a Pub conversation. :thumbsup:
