That would make a pretty big door, but it isn't impossible. Our opening is 16-feet wide which makes each door 8-feet. That means the 8-feet in front of the garage becomes useless, and since our driveway is L-shaped that isn't an option. It would also block the main walkway to the front door of the house when open, which also isn't an option. So we went with a high lift roll-up, following the roof angle.
That looks cleaner (& probably is)than
many of the motel room I've stayed in.
You don't want to see my garage - boxes of
parts for British cars everywhere (+ some Japanese).
That photo was during construction so it isn't that clean any more. I just came in from cleaning at least a quart of oil with leaves and crap in it from the floor.
I've thought about screens but I really want something that rolls itself up. The only thing I've found so far are the rather large devices that sit in front of the door up top, and I don't like the way they look.
