Hi all,

In the midst of rebuilding the front suspension. What's the method for removing the thrust washers that connect the lower wishbone to the trunion? Shock, spring, and vertical link has been removed already. Thx!

The stud has serrations that cut into the washers to prevent them from spinning. Use a big brass hammer on the arms, close to the trunnion, and knock the arms outward. They will pop free. Once the first one pops, you may have to use a chisel on the second one. These washers are included in the rebuild kits, so don't fear mangling them.

Thx John. Should I tighten the nuts on the inner wishbone side a bit when i do this? I don't want to damages the threads there whilst banging away with a hammer.

Success! I ended up using a nail puller pry bar. Tapped it in the gap and it popped right off. Thx all.

Don’t throw them away.
my new one were way too hard to pull on the spline and I wrecked the thread on the trunnion cross bar.
Replaced the trunnion and reused the washers
