TR6BILL said:Whoosh! Right you are! This photo unleashed a firestorm of comments on a Smart Car website. They were plenty ticked off too. A larger photo shows it beneath the Westbank Expressway in Harvey, LA. I drove that way yesterday. Good eye, or good Googling.
I enjoy passing them with a smile on my face and a roar from my TR6. I figure that few cents in gas is well worth the fun.PAUL161 said:All to save a few cents in gas?

If I have anything to do with it, no member of my family will ever get into one, let alone drive it!

I saw worse once, a VW Rabbit that was caught in a 55 mph semi-truck head-on collision (one jumped a guard rail). Both truck drivers were killed. The VW's engine block was compressed several inches. Some things are better off not seen.Basil said:A was googling around and came upon more picture of that crash (VW) - including the poor bastard who was in it. I wish I hadn't seen those pictures - will not post them here - not for the faint of heart.

I was referring to the first accident that TR6BILL posted, which I thought was being confused with the second. I should've been clearer. Sorry about that. :blush:aerog said:DaveatMoon said:This vehicle was some form of SUV (Escape, etc.). It's not a VW CrossFox.
The accident was in Brasil, and it is a CrossFox, you can clearly see the beginning of the name decal along the bottom of the car:
