How old is the average Triumph nut on the forum?

40 next month ...

I remember when I thought 40 was ancient!

51 here (I still can't believe it)BUT......
... Our oldest Son has a TR6 (about 300 numbers higher -
- than ours),...... & he just turned 26.
So between the two of us,that averages out to only
about 39!

54 here. 4 years and 9 days older than my TR3.

My first Triumph came out of a box for my 7th birthday. My first plastic model.

51 next month. How do you spell colonoscopy?

Colonoscopy ain't bad as long as the Doc mixes the right cocktail. My Doc gives you an intraveinous valium first, followed by something to make you relax and forget.

Not sure what the mixture is but i don't remember a thing and my wife says I was cracking jokes in the recovery room.

Re: How old is the average Triumph nut on the foru

I'm 51 and I've wanted a Triumph since I was 12 and my older brother had a 60 TR3. Had a 72 650 Tiger for quite a while but finally got my Spit last November.

I am 62. My first Triumph was a green TR6, the two wheel type. I can't remember much about the BSA I had in '65 except it hauled me from Jaxsonville, FL to St Petersburg and return many, many times while I was stationed at NAS JAX. My '74 TR6 was actually my wife's car of which she reluctantly gave up as a daily driver only after the second child came along.

I got my TR3A by 23 years. Passonate desire for one since '54. Hope to have it on the road next spring.

Gotta love the forum

33 here. Got my first Triumph at 21 (TR7 as a daily driver - not my smartest move ever, at least financially!) and my TR6 at 31. I am working hard to get my daughter to like Triumphs - she is 2 now, and I have high hopes that she will one day want the TR6 (then I can finally justify a GT6 to the wife - as a replacement, you understand...)

Re: How old is the average Triumph nut on the foru

I will turn 54 next month and this post brings up a subject that I've read about several times and believe to be very true, if we don't so something about it. We have to get the younger generation interested in Triumphs and older cars in general or when we all pass to the other side, our cars are going to slowly rust away. I have 3 older children and I have worked and owned sports cars their whole lives and not one of them has any interest in working on them. They love to drive them, but learning how to maintain them is out of the question. It's a whole new generation and they want Jap cars and new SUVs or Trucks. We should all try to get the younger generation into the fun and pride of owning and maintaining an older car (preferably a triumph)

A meere 38 here, about to hit 39. My 5 and 7 year old both point out every convertible on the road since they are kind of like mine. But as my daughter once pointed out, not exactly since they are drivable and mine isn't.

Re: How old is the average Triumph nut on the foru

- 45 years old

- or 45 years young when in a triumph!
