My family bought two successive 3000's in 1972 and 1973, I was 15 in '73. The cars never left my dreaming and scheming, along through high school and college, I could only come up with enough money for MGB's and a bugeye Sprite, three total. Then the kids came and that's where all the money went!
About two years ago, at age 47, I found a completely original BJ8 with 55,000 miles. I decided not to let it get away.
You can count the price of the car, the detailing, the new parts, but the grin I'm wearing when I work on, and drive, the car...is priceless. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif
Fortunately, my wife understands, and better yet, I'm infecting a whole bunch of kids with the bug.
Since we have nine, almost ten, kids (that's for another forum /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif) we're gonna need more Healey's 'cause most of them wants one.
