Hoosier Tire Sale

Every year around this time, Hoosier sells their "old", leftover 2006 race tires.

I bought some last year and I just bought another set this week (I bought a set of four 225/50-13 for the Escort for $407 including shipping).

Hoosier only charges a $7 processing fee and shipping is free on their old stock, no matter how many tires you buy, so it's a good deal all way around. And these tires don't need to be shaved like the Kumhos and Yokos I also run...that saves $15 a tire.

The choices are limited, but they do have some nice "vintage" sizes and some "rains" that would be OK for a street car that is only driven to an occassional autocross or show.

Thanks for the info! I ordered a set of A3S04 DOT tires for AutoX. (I'll have to put off the switch to a 15" wheel I've been planning on - they only had 14's that I can use).

Anyone have experience with these? Reading some of the reviews I'm having 2nd thoughts - these didn't score the highest. But hopefully they'll work OK for me. My car is only about 1500 lbs so hopefully they'll last the season for me - I'll probably only run 8-10 events this year.

Yea...My car takes 205x13s and they are ALWAYS $150.00 or more each.

Anybody know anyone who wants their name on a cute little Pinto?

One set of tires & I'll paint anything on it you want!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yesnod.gif
