TR2/3/3A Hood Stick Cover

I have a new hood stick cover for my 59 TR3A. The hood stick cover has 2 attachment points that appear to need to attach to a lift the dot peg underneath to provide that neat folded over appearance look. My car doesn't have any pegs for this attachment.

Where do the pegs need to be placed (and how) for this hood stick cover to be properly mounted?

Photos would be greatly appreciated.

Look at post #90 here:

Your car likely has the holes for the studs, but some PO removed them and didn't put them back.

Here's a couple of photos that may offer clues (car is long gone, still have the pix). As noted, the holes may already be there once you know where to look. The female LTD is sort of upside down and backwards.
