Ya know, At MG2006 in Gatlinburg, many of the hotels had covered parking underneath the hotels. Not a exactly a parking garage, but it was still nice.

Mike,
Yes it may be a little hard to drive to. I don't think my Midget will float. I thought that everyone would like to see that there is 50th Spridget celebration scheduled in England.

And let me just tack on *another* Spridget 50th celebration:

This one is part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and will take place at the BeaveRun race track in Wampum, PA. (near Pittsburgh).

July 6,7 & 8

I'll be there.

Now you've got me thinking...June, July and Aug. are my slow month...Sooo! I shoulda ordered more T-shirts from Basil cuz I'm gonna be wearin mine for about a month by the look of it (Phew!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

I was only kidding, Tony...It really is nice to see that there will be festive celebrations across the pond too!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Is my understanding we will have special celebration T shirts. You know something like "50 years of fun" or, "50 years of blood sweat and tears" or "Spridget 2008 hoedown".

Hmmm, what do you think they should say?

Seriously (OK not really) a guy in my club drives a Smart Car and took to parking beside Hummers just so he could answer that way when asked "why do you drive that thing?" And yes, someone did ask him and yes he did answer appropriately. I'm still chuckling at the thought

2008, wow. Maybe I will have mine finished by then. I was going to try and make the one in Gatlinburg even though I didn't have my car done. But I had to work, work, work. I only live a couple hours from there and could have driven the parkway all the way. I will have to wait for another one closer to home here in Asheville. Of course, if everyhing works out in my new drive line, it will be set up more for long trips. I will think about the one in PA if I am able to get paint on my midget this summer some time.
