Found the site by being sad enough to Google my own name, and finding people talking about my car!
1972 Triumph Stag 4x4 - one of the two made. One manual with overdrive (mine), and an auto. Both with what would today be called ABS. Not a factory job, but a concept car modified by Ferguson, funded by GKN who owned the viscous coupling patent (after bankrolling Ferguson). The idea was to get the British motor industry to embrace the concept of a top of the model range 4x4 (just like we have today). Early 70's, British motor industry embrace a new concept?? Fat chance. Modified Capri's were so successful in rallying, they got banned!!
Best part of ten years later, the world fell over when Audi launched the Quattro. The rest, is history........
