Hi, and thanks for accepting me into the group. I'm a long-time petrolhead who purchased a newly (professionally) built Lenham Le Mans Sprite last summer. It's quite highly spec'd with a 1310cc engine, flowed/ported head, 11:1 compression ratio, twin 1 1/4" SUs and big bore exhaust. Built for sprints and hill climbs, the original owner who commissioned the build wasn't able to compete due to illness and I bought it from him as a fun road car. I'd driven it less than 500 miles when I somehow managed to lose a screwdriver bit in one of the carb inlets (how and why is another story!). The result was impact damage to the combustion chamber, valve seats and a piston top. I've just completed the re-build and all's well once again. So over the last couple of months, I've learned a great deal about the A series! I've included a photo so you can see what all the fuss is about and hope you agree, it's a pretty little beast. You don't see many outside the competition environment.
