Oh My! Car Porn Basil!!! Love it! :driving:

Gundy, Finally home, I know you’re glad too! The tires and wheels are the perfect combination with that blue color, nice contrast! Mine should arrive tomorrow, can’t wait to get both the 1380’s out their singing in harmony to each other.

Great minds think alike....

Very nice!

You have me rethinking those black Retro-4 wheels... I like them...

Howdy David,

She`s lookin` really good! I really like your wheels & getting those tires tucked back into the wheel wells gives it a nice clean look.

As I had mentioned & Hap; "Bugeyes / Frogeyes" (In my opinion) look much sportier without the "Front Bumpers". Of course; You need the "Rear Overriders" in case someone taps you on the back.

When are you going to bring her over the house so I can see her "Up close & Personal"?

By the way; Is "BlueMax" is "Allen"?
Regards, Russ

Sorry to disappoint ya pal but I have a brand spanking new front blade and bumperettes for Mimi.
When is your TR getting a spray?
It will be great to take a cruise in the mountains together.
Stop by this weekend and check out Mimi and the veggie garden.
So far Sprite has done a great job of keeping the critters out.

The car looks awesome, but I do sort of miss the stripes (they really grew on me).

That is beautiful.

So when is chassis dyno time?

Well my friend, I was hoping you would have that
BGT of yours ready and we could do a two fer.
I can wait a bit but if you will be a good bit
off on getting the GT ready....I'm ready.

Funny side bit. I took it to town today. The Bailiffs wanted
to see Mimi with the new paint and the Insurance guy wanted some pics for the agreed value policy upgrade. Tad wanted some pics for his website too.
After all got their ogling done I lit 'er up leaving TK Motorsports.
Oh my gawd! Spitting sputtering ...ran like crap!
WTF???
Glanced at the gas gauge....empty!
Thankfully I could sputter to a gas station at the bottom of the hill.
It was running on fumes. I had less than a gallon left.
I guess the acceleration starved the pickup.

Filled 'er up and all is well.

We can go when you want, my car realistly might make it by fall, just too much customer work to do to mess with my car very much, getting my stuff done in very little steps, so slowly.

We'll talk and pick a mutually agreeable date soon.

In the continuing saga of Mimi mods:

Mimi has yet ANOTHER carb set up.
:jester:

Hap from Acme Speed Shop put some slick as snot
HS2s together for me. Nice details like the custom stacks and
some beautiful porting. Polish was like a mirror.
Well.....custom cars require a bit of massaging that OEM doesn't.
My big bore racing headers wouldn't clear the stock heat shield.
I had to call Hap and let him know I was taking a ball-peen to the shiny new heat shield. I have to admit banging away on the new shield gave me some sick twisted fun.
Now she's sporting a custom heat shield.
So don't rag Hap about the lumpy shield. It's my doings.
:nonono:
Now they fit like a glove. A little rattle can touch up
and presto.

Wife said the fried chicken was ready. I'll finish up tomorrow.
I'm excited to fire the HS2s up.
Note the porting in the GT7 head. Hap's intake porting is a perfect match.

The first pic above shows the intake was a good 1/2 out from the head at first contact with the header.
The back side pic of the heat shield shows the points of contact.
The last ones here show it flushed up nicely to the head
and good clearance between the header and the shield.
Giddy up!
