Howdy Gundy,

Personally; I really like the "Leaf Green" color. I have one those as a Screen Saver in my computer.

Since your going to do a "Bare" repaint; Why not go to the Orig. color? That is your intention; Correct? Meaning to make the Ext & Int of the car look Orig.

Have Fun,

Russ

Geesh Russ....just what part of Mimi, inside or out is like an original?
Gauges? Seats? Engine? Tranny? Springs? Shocks? Wheels/tires?
Mimi ain't original by a long shot.
She's going to be light blue.
I like it that color.

I think our buddy Russ was having a senior moment :jester:,
David's Bugeye stock, now that's funny

Crappy pics from my blackberry.
The stripes removal on rear and the filled mirror
holes in front fender.
All metal patching is finished and the sanding should get us ready for paint next week.

Mimi looks right at home!

Nice to see some progress.

Go Gundy go.

The paint/body guy is turning into a perfectionist.
He "sees" stuff I can't see or feel. She's gonna be sleek
and straight.
Not that I'm complaining....I just miss Mimi sooo much.
Hoping for an unveiling in a couple of weeks.

That Panhard setup is just plain SEXY, David.

Interesting! One of the items that has picqued the most recent interest is one that refers to heeding "my betters" advice. Is this a message that at least some of us are seeking the approval of our "better half" to underwrite the addiction we have to these machines? A subtle reminder to all about who is really "ruling the roost". Sorry if this reality check bursts some bubbles. By the way, the installation of the hardware is impressive.

Well....interesting .....I defer to my Better Half often to tell me my opinion.
I am shamelessly trying to sponge up knowledge where I can about improving the roadster.
:driving:
The original heading refers to the general sorry state of my
knowledge.
:jester:
The Mimi is going through a morphing for improvement and
better minds than I are helping to steer the course.
:thankyousign:

See where I'M coming from? I immediately go to the subject of my bride when I see "my better". I guess that's a testimonial to MY state of mind.
Can't wait to see pics of Mimi when they are available. See'll be beautiful, I'm sure.

Howdy David,

I visited "Tad" yesterday & saw your B/E. She`s lookin` pretty good. Its amazing what you`ll find under about 5 coats of paint! Your Bonnet is still on but It`ll be off pretty soon.

Hopefully You`ll have her back for the Scotish Games on the 28th. Will you be bringing the "B" as well? You Should!

Regards, Russ

Mounted the Z1 Star Specs on the VTO Retro 4s today.
The guys at the tire store were about to drool on 'em.
Man, they look BAD together.
I'll test fit one tomorrow at the shop and post pics and results of fitment.
They took very little weight to balance. Very pleased so far.

Went by the shop this morning. Lots of progress.
The body shell is ready for prime. The bonnet
has been removed for underneath prep work.
Primer should be on this Saturday. Looking good!
I'll take pics this Friday before it's all primed
and pics next week while primed.
I'm primed already!

Woohoo!

Pics from today. Final sand before primer happens today
and primer goes on tomorrow. Paint job next week.

Hi David,

You`ve seen that "VW" @ Tadds. "Mike" painted that one & He says My TR3 will be "Better" than that! I can`t imagine it being better cause that VW has an "Outstanding" paint job on her.

Your "Frog" is coming along nicely. If it were me (And Its Not); I`d have him strip the entire car down to bare & paint it the Orig. color of "Pea Green". Of course; That would mean changing the Interior, Underside etc etc. It never stops; Does it!!

Regards, Russ
