The UK's Bill Rawles concept, Big Healey "Breadvan". Any thoughts on what it will be delivering?

I'd call it A Healey Shooting Brake.
 
Coffins? Wonder what car the roof is from? Thought is was a Morris Mini van/Hillman Husky until I saw the semaphore turn signal cut outs.
 
Jack Rawles (Bill's son) was very much involved in the sale of my Dad's Frogeye. Which was an incredibly professionally and smooth handled transaction. Anyway a quick correspondence with Jack reveals that this car is in fact real and is being constructed from a totaled BJ8 onto a newly fabricated chassis. The van parts are from an Austin A35. When completed the firm is going to use it for local collections and deliveries of parts and snacks for the workforce. It was supposed to be a secret and under cover in the workshop until completed, but photos made it out onto the web.
 
I suppose he really kneads it.
 
There is obviously a lot of cutting and carving going on here and the gaps are being in-filled with real metal some of which has to be rolled to suit on an English wheel.

The workmanship is just spot on and the photo does not do it full justice. The doors are an amalgam of Healey and A35 parts, the rear wing is part Healey and the rest fabricated to suit. The roof is mostly A35 but the front end above the windscreen has been fabricated to close.

This is the best side - looking at the other side would show the challenges that Bill and the team faced.

Not sure how fast this would go with a full race engine on board or indeed how it would handle.

I'll join in the puns! If bread is the staff of life then "fetching snacks for the workforce" would give life to the staff (at Bill Rawles Classic Cars).
 
You could look north, south, yeast, and west and you won't find a stranger Healey.
 
I think our work is done here. Not bad for a bunch of crusty Healey enthusiasts.
