Hate is not a strong enough word

On a somewhat related note, last month I used a service called "JustAnswer" to try to fix an issue on wife's Kia.
It's a $1 charge to get a live technician for advice.
The technician told me that there was no fix for the issue other than replacing the instrument cluster, $1000.
No JustAnswer was not selling the part, but that's what KIA wanted.
But the related issue is, this morning I received an email from PayPal that I was being charged for membership to Just Answer.
I didn't order the membership and went to my PayPal account which showed $38 this month and $37 last month.
Called JustAnswer and was eventually connected to customer service.
The agent was heavily accented and after two tries to understand we got to the issue of the refund.
Got emails from them saying memberhip is cancelled and refunds in the works.
Good to hear that, Steve. That hasn't always been the case. We're in a "running gun battle" with a collection agency over a T-Mobil account we never initiated. We have to jump through hoops to prove the bogus account was a result of one of the three or four database hacks T-Mobile fell victim to. This has gone on for two YEARS! This is the second collection agency to start this carp, the first acknowledged it was a stolen identity issue and told us to "forget about it" as did a T-Mobil representative... over a year ago.

What? You didnt' read the Terms of Service?

I'm betting the tiny upfront charge was just so you could ask a question. When you got an answer, that's when the monthly charge started showing. Fun!

(like, who ever actually reads the Terms of Service ....)

I have to admit, I'm not good at that.
