It was 40 years ago this month that I purchased my 1969 MkIV Sprite from Shelly Motors in Honolulu. A few tune-ups, one clutch replacement, four paint jobs and an Arkley kit later and it still runs like new. The clock should turn over to 50K miles soon. The car has been oil-tight from day one and is still a giggle to drive. Most amazing of all is that I can still fit in the Pape racing seat that has been in the Sprite for the last 30 years! Here she is:

Still looks sweet, even in middle age. I enjoy when you post pictures.

Hey, that's a cool story! Congrats!

By the way, are those Diamond wheels?
And do they have the 3/8" lug holes? (or are they larger?)

The wheels are Marsh Racing Wheels (MRW). The rears are 7x13 and the fronts are 6x13 with 195R60 and 185R60 Sumitomo tires respectively. Lug holes are 7/16"
