There have been lots of "cottage industry" car-builders in the UK. Marques like Bond, Turner, Reliant, Dellow, and so forth.
One of these companies was Fairthorpe. They built some formula race cars and a roadster called the Electron .
One Fairthorpe I hadn't seen before was the TX-GT.
This car is based pretty obviously on the Triumph GT-6. The GT-6 is a pretty car and Fairthorpe has spoiled the looks of this coupe.
But what's interesting is that the TX-GT came with an overlapping swing axle rear that was supposed to fix the GT-6s quirky handling. Anyone got any more info on the special rear in these cars?
