Had a father buy a new Lotus Europa T/C from us, for his 18 Y.O. son... took a week for him to slice it up on guardrail cables (W.Va. two lane). After it'd been gathered up and glued back together it kept showing up in two weeks' driving intervals for body repair or broken bits... He attempted to outrun Motorola and totalled it against a pole. Kid was fine. We were glad to be rid of the whole deal, as the dad was trying to blame the CAR for all this. No idea if the kid saw his 21st, but I figure it was 50/50 he did. The car was a near-purple metallic, BTW. Awful colour for the car.
