GRRRRRRRRRRR! Ratzenfratzen!

ROFL, here we go again, I just know I will have to check many times today to keep up with the "Perls of JR and her LBC".

NO WEBER Rick. Not going there.

And the DPO didn't put the regulator on the DH did.

I'm buying a new fuel pump. That's probably what was the problem to begin with. Car runs fantastic with the SUs. And I'm leaving the regulator on just to p!ss people off.

Then make sure to gut it if you can so that it won't "adjust" itself again. Please.

Are you sure it won't just p!ss you off instead? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif

I have no opinion about the regulator whatsoever.

Jaybird, glad to know you are getting the right pump and if you insist on keeping the round thingy at least set it to the proper pressure of 1 1/2 to 2 pounds or it will blow fuel by your needle and seats in the carbs. Wayne

I believe it's a Facet/Purelator type. That's why it never stops ticking.

I had two of those go bad on me in less than an hour of being installed.
Never will use a Facet again.

Bruce

actually if you insist on keeping the round junk thingy, just tape it on somewhere. Or have it cast into clear acrylic, and put it in the glove box. You can show it to everyone later at MG2006!

Does anyone know if the solid state SU pumps make that clicking sound like the analog ones do.

I replaced mine w/ the original type because I rather like to here it working (or perhaps not working)

They "click" about the same, the solid state circuitry just replaces the points trigger for the throw-over signal. Mebbe they make more of a muffled "thup-thup" than a sharp "clik-clik" sound, but you do hear it.

I can hear mine fine before I start the car, then it's hard to hear over the engine/exhaust, but if those are running fine, I don't mind not hearing it while driving.
