Grille Top Cowl Screw

The top cowl of the grill surround has two small screws, one on each end. See pics. I broke one thinking it needed to be removed for rechrome. Are these screws soldered in or does it just look that way because of the chrome?

Thanks Steve. It's the top piece in the attached pic. Can't be SS. Too rusty. Mine is a BJ7. That Moss diagram doesn't look right for my car.

Working low quality stainless steel often causes imperfections to rise to the surface and rust-- it simply "stains less"....
 
The small screws on each end seem to be silver soldered in. I put cleaned it well and heated it to red hot (not cherry red, as I don't want to hurt the sheet metal). It didn't soften. Are they silver soldered? Or is it another method? Solder with nickel and chrome on top. I'm trying to soften nickel/chrome?
