Grille Disassembly?

Polished my grille today and very pleased with the results. I decided not to disassemble it and used steel wool to remove 60 years of grime and a buffing wheel attached to a drill. It took about 4 hrs. Mine was so neglected I didn't realize it was actually chromed, I thought people had them chromed.
