Grill emblem

So I got my 3000 flash lightning bolt emblem for the front grill. Now, how do I attatch it? It's not threaded, just two smooth little posts.

go to an automotive paint store they shoud have attachment pushon thingamabobs that will hold it to your grill . A hardware store may have a spring nut that will push on and lock.

They're called "speed nuts". Really, no kidding.

I'd make a joke about that also being the nickname of a certain frequent poster, but as the Moderator it's probably better if I set a good example and avoid such juvenile pranks. :savewave:

All Classic Mustangs use an attachment device called an Emblem Nut or "barrell nut".

This device pushes into a drilled hole in sheet metal and expands and grips the smooth emblem post when it is pushed in. These nuts to not require a lot of "real estate" on the backside of the fender, etc, and may be perfect for attaching your emblem to your grille.

They are available at any Classic Mustang parts house and from MANY automotive paint suppliers.

Mustang Depot in Las Vegas should have them.

My Mustang. That's how I know about barrell nuts.

Very nice car - and it seems strangely immune to horses dancing on the hood and deck lid.

I wouldn't try that with my Healey.
