Rusty old I beams but the worked real well. I painted them with some cheap black spray paint and wire brushed them after the test. Here it is loaded.

I reckon that they weigh about 30 lbs a piece. Its made of 1/8" steel. I think I am going to bolt them to the trailer for storage. Bolt them on thier sides, just inside the fenders to stop any road stuff from coming through as there is not a gaurd there.jlaird said:That's fine for around the local area, but arn't they a bit heavy to haul long distances?
Those are 89 inches long each. makes for easy loading with that winch on the front. I will pull the extra wieght. I was afraid 2X10 boards might break. Have not towed it yet but the balance seems good. I got to figure the best way to tie it down. It has u bolts front and back outside of each wheel in the front, so I need a ratchet strap around the inside of each front wheel and out to the U bolts then another strap or two around the rearend and then also the tow things in the front still hooked to the winch.jlaird said:I was thinking of down weighting to a couple of 4 foot long 2X10s with an angle bolted on the end to lock to the trailer. This is just to save the weight of these heavy steel ramps. yep about 30 lbs each.

I'd say for what you got it for, and what it needed, that's a steal!
I am off to bed Jack, 0500 comes early. Please explain what this means about crossed front and back. I will read in the AM. good evening.jlaird said:Four straps total. Crossed at front and rear. Will tow snug as a bug.
