Good quality jack stands...i need some

The AC Hydraulic DK20 is the only jack I would recommend, period. I bought one after the 3-ton Chinese jack I was using suddenly released as I was lowering my Audi and dented my rocker panel. Not safe!

The DK20 has a D-handle incorporating a dead man's valve. To lower the jack you turn the handle to the right and hold; if you let go, the jack stops at the current position. It is very smooth, controllable and safe. No worry about tightly gripping a tube handle and trying to release the jack to lower it just a little, without the jack going down further than you intended.

Made in Denmark, not China!

Bought mine here (also bought my 4-post Bend-Pak lift here too):

AC makes really nice equipment. I used to hang around another site that had an 'authorized' AC dealer on the tool forum. A few years ago he said AC had abaondoned the US market...thanks for the link!

My 19 year old Sears 2 ton floor jack (Japan) still works good...but a new AC would be nice!

Regarding lifts...I bought my two-post used about ten years ago. It's now probably 25 years old. A 9000K unit, it's built like a rock and should be around long after I assume room temperature...best $1800.00 I ever spent...

I'd put off an engine re-do, paint job, restoration or just about anything to have enuff $$$ for a lift...

We bought a set at harbor freight. Four square base. Heavy duty. My son uses them under his 4-runner, so I figure they are safe under my midget. I have had great luck with Harbor frieght lifts and stands and the price is reasonable.

I've got 4 of the heavy duty HF stands and I feel they are decent. Just as good as anyof the other made in China crap available in all the other store for less $$$. Probably all made in the same factory just painted different colors...
