Wish I had some sage advice for you, Jack, but I'll leave that to smarter folks. I do agree with Kim -- maybe it's time to sit back with a fine beverage of your choice and think it through.

I would check to see if you have the pressure switch shimmed. Also, did ya leak any fluid on this pull, or just removed the slave from the tranny?

Jack - what was the oil pressure before you pulled the engine - it was good as I remember, wasn't it?

You never touched the engine on this pull except to break it off the trans to replace the clutch, correct?
 
Nop, is not air. when you look up inside the clutch area through the view port you can see the thorwout bearing trying to work but it will not go all the way in, but it wants to.

It does not even compress the springs in the pressure plate as something is preventing it, ie the center part is on backwards I am sure and prevents proper movement.

We will see. Now I have become intense on these problems and will know the reason why. I was sure I put the part that said "towards flywheel" that direction but do not remember checking if the long side was away from same.
