Go ahead and laugh, like I did . . .

Just my .02... having been a lab rat in a previous life and worked a lot with Silicone: it does not like to go away... wherever we spilled the stuff, there would always be a residue. (And it is slippery on the floor... not that I ever fell on my rear!)

Once you spray Pledge, you will always need to spray Pledge. Cleaning it is perhaps not impossible, but aweful close. So if using it on windows / visors, it may eventually become "streaky," and the only solution is more Pledge.

Rain-X is similar... once you start using it, there is no going back.

Ah! Now that sounds like a slippery slope!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Man, if you ever get silicone on your car, you'll have a heck of a job ever repainting it. It really is nearly impossible to get all residue off and paint just won't stick to it for any length of time.
