Getting off brake drum nuts

Doing the rear brakes...drivers side nuts holding the brake drum on came off no trouble...other side won't budge. Soaked the nuts in WD-40 but still won't budge...I'm thinking the PO used an impact wrench so I guess that's what I'll need, unless someone has some wisdom to impart.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
 
When they don't come out easily, I drill 'em out...they're not necessary as the wheel will hold the drum solid in place.
 
Try PB Blaster or Kroil. Not familiar with the assembly, but heat them if possible.
Never found WD40 to be a good penetrant. These two seem to be about the best off the counter. Let them soak over night. Many people don't allow the chemicals time to work.
 
Yeah, most car's don't have 'em (the retaining screw). Just a drum held on by the wheel.

PB blaster or Kroil, and overnight to soak in... Maybe an impact driver if they're real stubborn... Don't round the heads off.
