We need to see the dash pictures as well. This is a great color and car. Keep the pictures coming. It give me hope that someday some of my cars could look like this.

That is truly a work of art! Well done - Applause!

Now that it's together I think it's begging for a wooden steering wheel.

Actually, I think it's begging to be driven. -And drolled over. 'Upgrades' can come later, get her on the road. That is a fine looking TR3. Yellow is perfect. I hope mine wakes up looking half as good.

Hey JP, It is certainly great inspiration to see other cars coming together isn't it?

I hope to do a lot of catching up over the winter after I store the TR6/TR250 in a couple of months. Maybe by next Spring, Early summer I will be close to the completion of mine.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

Yeah, I am definitely in a slump on my 3A - I would kill to have the bodywork and paint magically finished now - once that paint is on you can see the finish line and it gets really exciting.

How true. It seemed like forever to get every part painted or chromed. Then the never ending bodywork and paint. But after that, the assembly is fun and the car progresses so quickly.

My Wife and I love the color! Especially since it is a VW color. Our Tr3 is also a non stock color and also a VW color. "Harvestmoon Beige" because we like the color.

Well it's pretty much complete with all we're going to do. We had a little issue fitting the spare tire on the wire wheel in the rear but after a little searching here on the site, we went with a smaller tire.
The mirrors still need to go on but I think we'll wait until it gets back from upholstery.

The TR3 goes to the upholstery shop on 9/12 where the carpet, seats, panels, and top will be installed. They also will install the speakers which will be wired to a hidden iPod connection in the glove box.

Once I have some more pictures I will share. Now I just hope the upholsterers don't scratch anything

So we hooked up the generator after polarizing it. Everything is working and its a brand new wire harness. When we start the car, the gauge goes directly to discharge. We reversed the wires and nothing registers on the gauge. Which way are the color code wires supposed to be connected?
Thanks

Well, the upholstery shop has been backed up so we've had a little time to finish small things on the TR. Here are a few new pictures. My father in law actually drove it today for the 1st time in about 20 years.

Beautiful car. You should be justifiably very proud of her. You will really enjoy driving it.

Congratulations on a magnificent job.
