MGB Generator to alternator swap

Did it a while back on our '64 MGB, after converting to negative ground. Mechanically, had to modify the rear mounting bracket to fit and cut a bit of material from the shield attaching the coil. Hard to see in the photo. Then more-or-less temporarily "hot wired" the circuitry according to instructions, to by-pass the regulator (used a Lucas internally regulated alternator). Installed the faux regulator from Moss, re-attached the wires and replaced the generic cover with an OEM Lucas one.

Mine has a 4 terminal, plug in " alternator controller".
I just not sure what if anything needs doing.
Its common to upgrade to the 3 terminal alternator, so someone has faced this question..
thanks, anyways
