Gasoline additives

Any of you guys ever use the Sea Foam gasoline additive in your TR? I use it in my modern stuff but have no idea what it would do to my Triumph.

no but the last time I went to get additive I had a heck of a time getting some and went with a product I had never used. Didn't give me any prob.

(not that I'd know lead is just lubricant so no way to know how good a product works til to late)

If you have a look at Scenario 5, you'll see what I had to deal with when I first brought my car to it's new home.
Hoping that the valve was stuck and not burned, I added different gasoline detergents including seafoam and techtron and a couple others each time I filled the gas tank. After a month or two and some spirited driving, Scenario 1.
So, I'd have to say that no harm was done.
I still occasionally add detergents. Right now there's a little Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank.

I use Techron in all of our modern vehicles at every oil change. I use Marvel in nearly every other engine, both gas and oil.

For a few years I used 1/2 a can of seafoam in the gas tank of my lbcs in the spring. I can't say I noticed any difference.

I've noticed my Spitfire running worse and worse. I suspect the fuel is causing problems, or maybe the carbs just need attending to. Seems to run lean and pulling out the choke a bit smooths it out.

Oh yea, I'm big believer in Seafoam for all my fuel injected cars.
