Most people don't even realize the worst thing you can do to affect mileage is step on the brakes.
Don't drive faster than the car in front of you unless you can pass them.

Starting your car doesn't help either :p

2CV stands for "deux chevaux" in French or "2 horsepower" in English. This was rated according to the ancient tax horsepower formula (calculated according to engine capacity and had no relationship at all with actual power output).
 
Saw at a 7-11 just this morning, $3.77 regular (10% ethanol). I don't think this one has pure gas.
 
I filled up with 87 ethanol free on Thursday.I was expecting it to be
well over $5/gallon.I was surprised to pay $3.899,same as regular gas!

I paid $US 9 /US gallon for diesel last week. almost "cheap" compared to your $12/us gallon.

Europe in general is going to have a very serious problem with the high percentage of diesel cars.
Very glad that my main vehicle is company supplied and they pay.
